How do I export my Canva design correctly for print?
Canva is great for putting a design together quickly, and it's easy to export something print-ready as long as you set it up correctly from the start.
Before you design
- Create a custom-size design matching your finished sticker size plus 3mm bleed on each side (e.g. for a 100mm x 100mm sticker, set your canvas to 106mm x 106mm)
- Keep important text and logos away from the outer edge, inside the safe zone
Exporting
- Use Share → Download and choose PDF Print (not PDF Standard, which is lower quality)
- Make sure "Crop marks and bleed" is switched on if that option is available on your Canva plan
- Flatten any transparent elements before exporting where possible
Quick summary
- Build your canvas at finished size + 3mm bleed
- Export as PDF Print, not PDF Standard
- Enable crop marks/bleed if your plan supports it
